Confidential Counselling with Sinead Stack.
Sometimes you have to break away from the toxicity so you can heal..
A Safe and Supportive Space
Life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate them alone. My name is Sinead, and I am an insured counsellor and psychotherapist. I offer a confidential space to explore what’s been going on for you. A space where you can be heard in a non-judgmental, empathetic, congruent, and compassionate way, whether remotely (Online) or in person.
My Therapeutic Approach
My practice is grounded in evidence-based approaches and delivered in an integrative way. This means I tailor our work to your pace, needs, and goals. I aim to foster a deeper understanding, build resilience, and support lasting change. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, which helps me apply effective, evidence-based techniques such as CBT, Psychodynamic therapy, Humanistic approaches, and Existentialism. I am currently completing an MA in Addiction Recovery and hold a Postgraduate qualification in Gambling and Addiction Studies. Ongoing learning is important to me so that I can continue to support you effectively.

Understanding Trauma & Emotional Struggles
Trauma can shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world around us. It can affect our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and even our physical well-being. Many challenges, such as anxiety, low-mood, shame, guilt, relationship problems or feeling stuck, are often connected to earlier experiences. What once helped you survive may now feel exhausting or confusing.
In therapy, I create a safe space to slow things down. Rather than pushing or forcing change, together we gently make sense of your experiences and build a stronger, more compassionate relationship with yourself. Healing is not about reliving the past; it is about feeling safer and more grounded in the present
Addiction & Compulsive Behaviours
Addiction exists on a spectrum, and no two people experience it in the same way. It can range from a “Big A” to a “Little A," involving substances, gambling, food, technology, or other behaviours that gradually begin to feel out of control. Often, these behaviours develop as ways of coping with stress or emotional pain. Over time, they can start to take more away from you than they give.
I support individuals impacted by addiction by helping them understand the drivers of their behaviour and why the behaviour developed — looking at underlying emotional pain, stress, trauma responses, and coping mechanisms. I work from both a harm-reduction and an abstinence approach, meeting you where you are.
Recovery is not just about stopping the behaviour, it is about building a life that feels meaningful, stable and worth staying present for.
You do not have to do it alone.
